The language used in commercial real estate leases can have both intended and unintended consequences. This class explores the motivations of landlords and tenants when negotiating the most common provisions found in commercial real estate leases for most property types. The course puts an emphasis on the business and legal rights/obligations of the parties and discusses alternative arrangements that satisfy their motivations and the law.
